Detroit Tour Connections

Bob Goldsmith is a lifelong area resident.  After growing up in a suburb of Detroit, and going to

college and law school in nearby Ann Arbor, Bob was an attorney in the suburbs of Detroit for about fifteen years.  Then he  moved to Downtown Detroit in 2003, and found that he had a knack for being a tour guide and developing tours of Detroit.  

He has lived downtown since 2003, and has seen the area go from abandoned buildings and empty sidewalks to boutique hotels and frequent crowds attending concerts and Detroit Tiger, Lion, Red Wing and Piston games.

Bob started Detroit Tour Connections in 2004, and has operated it since then (for almost 20 years) as a part-time business, especially during the late spring, summer and fall..  

The "Rise, Fall and Renewal" tour was Bob's idea --in 2010 when there was much more abandonment and much less renewal.

After giving so many walking tours and so many bus tours for so many years, Bob is definitely one of Detroit's most experienced, knowledgeable and versatile tour guides.
