Additional Information About Our Tours
WHEN ARE TOURS AVAILABLE?
Our RISE, FALL and RENEWAL TOUR at 1PM is offered from May-October most days of the week.
Meanwhile, private tours are available most days throughout the year.
CAN WE JUST SHOW UP AT THE STARTING LOCATION WITHOUT A RESERVATION?
Some days the tour isn't offered. Other times, if nobody has signed up a certain number of hours before the
start of a tour, the tour is cancelled. Plus we may sometimes be fully booked. So it really is not a great idea
to just show up at the starting location. Book it online -- or call us first to inquire about tour availability
WHERE DOES THE RISE, FALL & RENEWAL TOUR START AND END?
We meet outside of the Detroit Beer Company, located at 1529 Broadway. DBC is a brewpub with great beer
and really good food. It's a fine place for lunch before a 1pm tour, and an excellent place to go after a tour.
IS FREE PARKING AVAILABLE?
No. We do not have any free parking available for the Rise, Fall & Renewal tour.
WHERE DO WE PARK FOR THE RISE, FALL AND RENEWAL TOUR?
Parking is available for a fee at the Opera House Parking Garage, and the Z-Lot, and various surface lots.
DO YOU NEED TO BE IN GOOD CONDITION FOR THESE WALKING TOURS?
You need to be able to stand for most of the time, and walk at a leisurely pace. We cover about 1.5 miles over 2 hours, never more than a couple of blocks at once, and there are plenty of stops along the way.
IS THERE AN ADDITIONAL ONLINE BOOKING FEE?
No. The booking fee is built into the price of $25/person for the Rise, Fall and Renewal tour.
WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING POLICIES FOR BAD WEATHER?
We generally continue tours for moderately bad weather, and only cancel for severe weather.
