Our popular downtown Detroit walking tour called "Detroit's Rise, Fall & Renewal" is informative and enjoyable. It starts at 1PM and the cost is only $25 per person.
Sign up online in advance to reserve your spot. Meet your tour guide shortly before the tour begins in front of 1529 Broadway (Detroit Beer Co.).
In less than two hours, you'll get a really good tour of downtown Detroit. Expect Detroit history, skyscrapers, sculptures, murals, music, sports, events, boutique hotels and more.
Mostly an outdoor tour, done at a fairly leisurely pace, it also includes a visit to the beautiful art-deco Guardian Building and other nice downtown buildings. You'll see the area near the Fox Theater and baseball and football stadiums, the downtown shopping district and Campus Martius Park, plus downtown skyscrapers and the Spirit of Detroit sculpture near the Riverfront. Your guide will also point out how many of the older downtown buildings had been abandoned for 25 years or more.
The tour is offered most days from May-October, but not every day. Please check the "Book Now" button below and the calendar for availability. We skip Wednesdays, and when cruise ships visit Detroit (more often than you might think), our guides are busy with shore excursions for passengers.
If starting at 1PM doesn't fit your schedule, but your group of two or more would like to start at 10AM or 4PM, reach out to us by text message or phone/voicemail at least 24 hours in advance to inquire. Sometimes we may be able to accommodate you at 10AM or 4PM.
